Honeywell training
Multi-user training on simulated plant equipment.
As experienced workers retired, Honeywell needed an engaging way to train new employees without the risk and constraints of a live plant. We piloted a multi-user HoloLens training system in which trainees operate simulated equipment together in a shared session.
I built the training system and the equipment interactions, and synchronized the visuals with simulated digital twin data. The hardest problem was modeling equipment states and mapping each one to the right visuals and allowed interactions. I worked on UX as much as engineering. Honeywell later continued building immersive training on its own.
